Hello and welcome to my blog. My name is Samuel Willocks and I am a student at City Impact Church School in my first year of Media Studies. This is where I will post my Media Studies content.
The excerpt is from 1:36 to the end. Questions: Who (out of the 7 core representation areas of society) are being represented in this clip? Class and Status. How are they represented? The contrast is between the servants and the masters of the house. The servants are represented as if they have been doing the same thing everyday for a long time. Their system is portrayed very strictly, for example frustration when people are late. The audience is not made to feel bad for the servants as such as they are not serving cruel people. It is simply the job of their class. The family of the house is shown as being very proper and and part of high class English society and their reactions to the news of the Titanic sinking strengthen this image. A TREATMENT FOR "SMILE" Prepared by Samuel It is proposed that the film will be of 1 to 1.5 minutes duration and will be filmed at school because it is easily accessible by all cast and crew. It also provides the wide open space of the carpark to film our chase. Conventions we will use: Iconography: The murder weapon that will be used is a kitchen knife which shows the more sadistic and unhinged side of the character of the Killer. The chase scene is a nod to the iconography of typical action thriller films. Sound: The diegetic sound we will use in our film will be the notification sound of the text arriving to the Victim's phone which will increase tension once he reads it. The music that will be used will be low and unsettling to begin with but will increase in tension as the film escalates. Especially at t...

It had the camera panning down over the castle as fireworks go off above it. The words Walt Disney Pictures then appear. Interestingly the visual effects studio that p...
