VICTIM

OFFICE - NIGHTTIME

*FADE IN*

Victim packing up computer and bag

Victim receives text *You're dead*

Victim: *Quiet exclamation*

Packs faster and walks to the door

OUTSIDE - NIGHTTIME

Victim walking with bag in hand

Killer exits office building

Door makes noise while closing

*Door closing*

Victim turns and sees Killer

Victim: *Starts running*

Killer: *Starts chasing*

Victim and Killer run through carpark

Victim trips

Killer catches up

Victim and Killer struggle on the ground.

Killer pulls out knife

Killer pins down Victim's arms

*Both breathing heavily*

Killer: *I only have one thing to say to you*

Victim: *Who are you?* (Still breathing heavily)

Killer: *Why don’t you give me a nice, big SMILE*

Killer stabs Victim

Killer walks away from Victim's body with knife in hand

Victim's body has a balloon attached with a smiley face on it

*FADE TO BLACK*

  The excerpt is from 1:36 to the end. Questions: Who (out of the 7 core representation areas of society) are being represented in this clip? Class and Status. How are they represented? The contrast is between the servants and the masters of the house. The servants are represented as if they have been doing the same thing everyday for a long time. Their system is portrayed very strictly, for example frustration when people are late. The audience is not made to feel bad for the servants as such as they are not serving cruel people. It is simply the job of their class.
